In May 1974 Casio brought to the calculators market the Personal Mini CM-607 which introduced a departure from the normal as the display was offset to the left with the keyboard to the right (“landscape” styled, rather than “portrait”). It also had a shift key (arrow) to recall overflow (allows display of the next six digits of the result). The use of this special arrow key is interesting: The idea was to save the cost of a more expensive display but retain precision. Now, This arrow key is hard-wired to a handheld forward button which moves the shuttle to the moon.
