This hibrid between joystic and control pad from Atari was on the market from 1986 until 1992. Joysticks were commonly used as controllers in first and second generation game consoles, but then gave way to the familiar control pad with the Nintendo and Sega consoles in 1985 and 86. This model resolved neatly the design “mutation” half joystick/half pad and it is hard-wired to a unknown-branded but elegant digital clock. Time and alarm set up functionalities have been outsouced to the pad.
