This is the official joystick released by Sega for the Master System. Introduced in 1986, the 8-bit Sega Master System (SMS) was SEGA’s answer to Nintendo’s NES. The Control Stick has a very large “T-grip handle” supposedly for more precise gaming control but it makes the stick feel cumbersome. The buttons are also located on the wrong side for most people. Although the lack of ergonomic design features, this stick is full of character. It has been hard-wired to a sharp-edged Panasonic Clock Radio. Time, alarm and sleep functions can be controlled with the stick.
