The Sega Saturn is a 32-bit video game console that was first released in 1994 in Japan and 1995 in North America and Europe. While the system was popular in Japan due to its successful marketing such as with the character Segata Sanshiro, it failed to gain a similar market share in North America and Europe against its competitors PlayStation and Nintendo 64. This is the original Sega Saturn pad from Japan. Bundled with the Grey and White Saturn Consoles in their corresponding colours. This controller features a D-pad raised above a "plus-sign" shaped piece of plastic inside the controller under the D-pad, and that's what gives the pad the "rocker" feel as opposed to the mushy feel of a Nintendo 64 or PlayStation controller.
